The Sterrett Pottery Works was a center of pottery production in central Alabama for many years. At one point, there were at least ten local potters operating out of Sterrett and the town has been known as ‘Jugtown’ for its high-quality clay pots that are decorated with two color glazes. What’s less known about Sterrett is the stunning beauty of the landscape early in the evening.
